Dr Solomon C. Nwaneri is an academic and currently a lecturer in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, University of Lagos, Nigeria. He holds B.Eng. degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering; M.Sc. degree in Project Management Technology, M.Sc. degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering (Electronics), and a PhD degree in Industrial/Production Engineering. He is a registered engineer and a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers. He has received extensive trainings in biomedical and health systems engineering both in Nigeria, the United States and South Africa mostly funded by the US National Institute of Health and Building Research and Innovation in Nigeria’s Science (BRAINS). He was a visiting research scholar at the Northwestern University Illinois, USA between May and July 2019. He was a visiting lecturer at Mbarara University of Science and Technology Uganda in 2018 having received a travelling grant from African Biomedical Engineering Mobility (ABEM). He was also a visiting scholar at the University of Cape Town South Africa where he participated in training on developing interdisciplinary biomedical engineering programs in Africa. He won best paper award in Track E(Talent Management and Skills Development) at the third African Research Universities Alliance (ARUA) Centre for Excellence for Unemployment and Skills Development International Conference, Nairobi Kenya July 25 – 28, 2022. He also won an excellent paper award at the IIER International conference in Dubai, United Arab Emirates in 2015. He also conducts capacity development trainings on medical devices for organisations. He is a reviewer for several peer reviewed journals. He has published a book, 4 book chapters and 18  articles in peer reviewed journals and conferences. He also has 2 registered patents to his credit and his research collaborators.
